The weather is frightful...and you know the rest of the story. Today, I sit at home waiting for the plow to clear the drifts in the drive. Due to the unusual weather pattern I hope you are busy using up your stash as I am. The inventory is complete. The tax man comes! The sale room inventory needs to be reduced. Wednesday, January 22 til January 31st there is an addtional 20% off in the sale room.  This includes the $1.00 fat quarters. I will be glad to see all my friends, it seems like it has been years. Should the weather suddenly change please call the shop before heading out. 1-260-627-2907
The shop has been busy and productive. Stop in and see all the fabric and notions in the saleroom. Yes, there is $4.00 a yard fabric, scrap bags, books and patterns. We need to clear out some shelves to make room for new fabric and patterns due in soon. Great time to pick up fabric for backings! Each week between now and the end of December there will be instore specials.
Here is your chance to win a bundle of Fat Quarters of the Downton Abbey line of fabric. Each time you make a purchase of $10.00or more (one per visit) you get a chance on the bag containing the Downton Abbey fabric. The bag is cute and could be used as a gift!
I am a member of the Midwest Fabric Study Group. Last Weekend we met in Kokomo. The meeting was well  attended (50 members). Presentations were made on Chintz, log cabin and red and white quilts. Show and tell was varied and inspiring. We got a long list of books about fabric dies. A special guest arrived--Arnold of Arnolds Attic fame. Barbara Brackman produced a line of fabric based on Arnold's collection of antique fabrics. A spry 88 years young and still so enthusiastic about fabric and quilting. He shared a small sample of his collection. Look for him in July at the Quilter's Hall of Fame. Due to the threat of sever weather we adjorned the meeting early. I am pleased to say we all made it home safely.
Please keep Deb in your thoughts and prayers. She will be having back surgery in December.
The Fourth Tuesday group is making progress with the 4.5"squares. We are exploring many new techniques and laughing as we go. If you would like to see what we are doing visit the official Dear Jane website.

Civil War Dairy-Barbara Brackmans block of the month is for those who want a little history to go along with their quilting. Individual patterns for each month are still available and would be a great way to use up your stash to create this wonderful quilt. For more history on quilting check out Barbara Brackman's website.

Reproduction 1800's monthly kits are sold out, but a few patterns are available. Challenge yourself to make 'littles' as Deb calls them. These patterns are great to make from yur scape collection.

Notice the new look for the New Year! We have changed software and now have a blog and will shortly have a special Web-Only Store. Changes to our class schedule and shop specials will also be posted here first.
